Spending time with friends and family is what Christmas is all about. If that means you’ll have guests in your home around the holidays, here’s how to prepare for it.
Cozy Sleeping Place
You want your guests to feel comfortable and welcome, and the most important step towards that is to prepare the place where they’re going to sleep. Let’s say you have a guest room that you don’t really use for the large part of the year and that’s spontaneously turned into a walk-in closet. Take out everything that doesn’t belong in there, add a few decorating pieces and a lamp as a source of warm light, and finish with soft sheets.
Plan the Meals
While your guests stay at your place, you’ll likely be responsible for the food. You’ll be cooking for more people than usual so it’s important to plan the meals you’re going to make and to shop for the ingredients in advance.
Stock the Kitchen
First of all, make sure you have enough plates and silverware for everyone. Next, stock your kitchen with coffee, tea, snacks, and everything else you and your guests will need during the holidays.
