It appears that all three Ball brothers might play in the NBA league next year. LiAngelo Ball, brother of New Orleans Pelicans’ Lonzo Ball and Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball, will reportedly suit up for Detroit Pistons in the 2020/21 season.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the middle Ball brother signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with Detroit. His place on Pistons’ NBA roster isn’t guaranteed, but he’ll at least enter the training camp with the team.

The 22-year-old Ball most recently spent time with Oklahoma City Thunder’s G League affiliate OKC Blue but failed to play a single game for the team.

Unlike his two brothers, LiAngelo Ball wasn’t a basketball prospect growing up and received little attention in high school. Regardless, Ball managed to get a scholarship from UCLA Bruins but failed to use the most of the opportunity due to his off-the-court behavior.

Ball left UCLA after only a few months and turned pro, spending a part of the 2017/18 season in Lithuania with Prienai. He finished his stint with the club averaging 12.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game and entered the 2018 NBA Draft.

Neither NBA team opted to draft Ball at the time, although he received several NBA Summer League invites.
