When it comes to the current trends in interior design, pink is pretty much everywhere. One particular shade stands out and it’s often called “Millennial Pink” or “Tumblr Pink”.

Pink is the color with a huge historical background. The popular opinion that “pink is for girls while blue is for boys” didn’t exist until the middle of the 20th century. Before that, blue was actually seen as the feminine color while pink was the color of masculinity (seen as toned-down red).

The 20th century changed it all and pink was on the pedestal during the second half of the century, and it won’t stop being popular anytime soon. Pantone proclaimed rose quartz one of the colors of 2017 and pale dogwood one of the Spring 2017 shades. Now we have millennial pink, which is defined as a gender-neutral, sophisticated shade of pink.

See below how it can be used in interior design.
