Pantone Has Chosen the Color of the Year 2020

Pantone Color Institute picks the trendiest color of the year every December and has announced the Color of the Year for 2020 and it’s 19-4052 Classic Blue.

“Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era,” Pantone describes Classic Blue on their website. We can also read that the color resembler the sky at dusk and highlights our desire for a stable foundation “on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.”

Pantone started choosing Color of the Year 20 years ago, in 1999 with Cerulean, a shade of blue that was dubbed the color of the new millennium. Ever since then, the Pantone Color of the Year has been a major influence on fashion, interior design, and many other aspects.

The experts from Pantone use current trends and various socioeconomic conditions to predict the trendiest color every year, and once they announce it, we quickly start seeing it everywhere.
