We’ve all gone out and bought some new makeup only to return home to try it on and realize it wasn’t the right shade for us. Beauty products are expensive and we can’t afford to purchase ones that we can’t use. Luckily, a new company, NakedPoppy, has come up with the perfect solution to this problem.
NakedPoppy is a beauty website that uses technology to create personalized makeup suggestions. The creators Jaleh Bisharat and Kimberly Shenk realized that women find it hard to choose the right makeup for their skin type and skin tone. NakedPoppy only sells products that are cruelty-free, clean, and long-lasting.
The site has a three-minute quiz that assesses your skin type, skin color, hair color, etc. There’s also a camera that takes a picture of your wrist to come up with your base skin color. After you complete the quiz, the site’s technology comes up with products that will work best for you.
“We call it better for you, better on you. We wake up breathing clean beauty… it’s the core of what we do,” said Bisharat, co-founder and CEO of the company.
In addition to NakedPoppy’s Clean Liquid Eyeliner, there are a number of other brands on the site including Lily Lolo, Antonym Cosmetics, Ere Perez Natural Cosmetics, and Kosas Cosmetics.
