Make Your Own DIY Yoga Mat Sling!

Having a yoga mat sling is so convenient if you love to do yoga and live in a city where you walk to your studio. But, instead of buying one, why not make your own at home easily!

Materials

  • Hot glue gun or fabric glue
  • Two short pieces of stretchy fabric
  • One long piece of long fabric, an old belt, a piece of rope, etc.

Instructions

  1. First, roll up your yoga mat and see how big it is.
  2. Then, take one of the smaller pieces of fabric and wrap it around the mat to see how it fits. You want it to be tight enough that it holds the mat in place, but not too tight that it won’t slide off.
  3. Then, once you’ve measured, take your fabric glue or glue gun and glue the two ends of the fabric together.
  4. Repeat this on the other piece of fabric for the opposite end of the yoga mat.
  5. Then, thread the longer piece of fabric or one of the alternatives through the two ends and either tie or glue the two ends together.
  6. Wear on your shoulder or across your chest and set out for your favorite yoga class!
