Lady Gaga has collaborated with Amazon for her big break into the beauty market.

Over the years, countless celebrities have attempted to break into the beauty and fashion market. Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics has been an enormous success along with Rihanna’s inclusive Fenty Beauty. Now, Gaga wants a slice of the lipgloss-coated pie.

What makes the Oscar-winning pop sensation’s approach different is that she is launching her makeup line exclusively through Amazon. Haus Laboratories will thus be the first cosmetic brand to be launched by the retail giants and will be released in nine countries simultaneously.

Gaga explained her choice to work with Amazon to The Business of Fashion and said: “If it’s not perfectly in line with what they do… they’ll be like, ‘Can you just change half of the equation?’. The answer is no. No deal. No message of self-acceptance, no deal. [The deal with Amazon] was so wonderful because this was like, ‘Let’s make a deal, let’s make a deal to change the world with their beauty’.”
