Mastering the skill of applying mascara is essential because, according to Barnes, mascara can transform your makeup look. He says “it’s best to get down to the root of the lashes and almost scrub the mascara wand back and forth at the root.” This way you’ll create a perfect line in this area.
Blush
“Instead of applying blush to the sides of your face, apply it towards the front of your cheeks, more under the eye line,” suggested Barnes. Applying the blush too far on the sides can make you look outdated, even older, so make sure to master this useful trick.
Inner Eye Foundation
When it comes to our inner eye areas, Barnes is suggesting we should avoid applying thick layers of coverage to this area. It’s not about coverage, it’s about brightness, he says. You want to use a foundation with a brighter pigment and blend it in, to get a youthful look and make your eyes stand out.
