Sandals are the shoe of summer, but sometimes, they can be a pain. Luckily, these tips will keep your feet feeling great all summer long.

New Sandals

If you’ve just bought a new pair of sandals, beware of bringing them on a big trip before you break them in. Any type of sandals needs to be fitted to your feet before you can wear them for long periods of time, so if you do want to bring them along, make sure you wear them out for a few days first.

Straps

If the straps of your sandals are literally rubbing you the wrong way, there are some easy ways to fix it. One is to rub a little bit of candle wax or beeswax on them to make them less abrasive on your skin. Or, if you don’t have either one of those products, you can always put a little deodorant on them.

Moleskin

Moleskin is a type of bandage that is made for blisters, so while you’re wearing your sandals, always make sure to keep a few in hand in case one comes up out of the blue. Moleskins are better than regular bandages because they form better for your skin, but if you don’t have access to them, regular bandages will help just as well.
