The first thing you have to do is remove them while they’re fresh. The best thing you can do is get a tissue or a sponge soaked in cold water and approach the stain from the back side.

This will allow the stain to get removed from the other side, as beer is liquid and it pours into the fiber. Keep in mind that there should be no hard scrubbing, as you might damage the color of the piece of clothing that’s at stake. If you’re at home – detergent and dish soap can make the problem go away in an instant. Wet wipes are good if you’re out.

What about dried beer stains? Well, they’re a bit more delicate. You’ll have to soak the stained part with cold water and then apply a detergent onto it. Now, since beer is made out of whole grains and alcohol, it’s going to leave an odor.

So, be sure to apply baking soda to the stain to make sure the odor is completely gone. If the stain or odor remains, repeat the process until it’s gone. Some types of beer in combination with some fabrics are more stubborn.
