How to Plan DIY Projects While Social Distancing

We’re all looking for creative ways to pass the time while social distancing, and working on a new DIY project is a good place to start. The list of possible options is pretty much endless, but here are a few things you should keep in mind before giving them a try.

Realistic Goals

If you’re a total DIY newbie, it’s important to start small. You may lack the skills or equipment to work on some of the ideas that seem fun, so make sure to focus on something you can actually do, as long as it truly interests you.

Be Resourceful

It’s possible you’ll have to work backward during this time and start with things you have at home, instead of starting with finding a tutorial you like. Be resourceful and put these things to some good use, instead of giving up because you’re missing some bits and pieces.

Make a List

Before starting your DIY adventure, make a list of everything you need, and see how many items you’re missing. Don’t proceed with your project if you can’t find them at a local store with ease, because now’s not the best time to wander around looking for them.
