Soak and Exfoliate

Once a week, after your shower, soak your feet in warm water for 10-15 minutes with some Epsom salt or essential oils. After your feet are soaked, exfoliate the dead skin with a pumice stone.

Moisturize

If you are prone to hard heels you must use a moisturizer daily. Buy one that contains urea or lactic acid as they will both exfoliate and hydrate. You can also use olive oil or coconut oil on the heal and wrap it in saran wrap to seal in the moisture.

Pick the Right Shoes

If cracked skin is a regular problem then you should look into your shoe choices. Certain shoes that have a stiff heel counter, the plastic insert that reinforces the heel can dry out your feet. Look for softer shoes that don’t have this, like All Birds.
