Cold weather can really take a toll on our hair, which is why we usually fight dry and brittle hair, dandruff, or hair loss during winter. Here are a few changes to make in your winter hair care routine to avoid these problems.

Deep Conditionaing

Whether you have dry hair or not it would be good to use a deep conditioner on a regular basis during winter. Harsh winter weather can damage and dry your hair, but you can prevent this by deep conditioning once a week.

Scalp Exfoliation

Cold weather can also cause issues with dry scalp, and we’re more prone to dandruff and hair loss. To prevent this, it’s a good idea to exfoliate the scalp once a week and add a dandruff shampoo to your hair care routine.

Reduce Blow-drying

You probably already know that your blow dryer and other heating tools are your hair’s worst enemy, especially during winter when it’s more prone to dryness. Try to reduce blow-drying for a couple of months and avoid using your hair straightener also.

Use Oils

Every product that can nourish your hair and add some moisture is welcome. Adding hair oil to your conditioner or massaging your scalp with oils is also a good way to moisturize hair.
