Cucumbers

The cucumber is a super hydrating and high-nutrient vegetable that makes a great addition to your water or summer mocktail, and to your picnic salad. Not just that, but did you know that the refreshing cucumber thrives in summer?

While they don’t particularly enjoy extreme high-temperatures, cucumber plants love sunlight and do well in temperatures above 60-90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hot Peppers

Who doesn’t love a deliciously spicy dish to go along with their summertime margarita? Whether it’s jalapeño poppers or a fiery salsa, hot peppers always bring that extra kick to the BBQ and even some great hidden health benefits.

Just like cucumbers, hot peppers typically thrive in temperatures above 60 degrees. And for those of you who don’t like it as spicy, the best part about harvest peppers is that the longer you wait, the sweeter they get!
