Introduce Height
Whether you live in a sprawling mansion or a tiny studio apartment, a cat will feel stimulated and fulfilled if they have a variety of heights to climb up and down from. They particularly enjoy a vantage point above the room, so they can look down on us like the kings and queens they are.
Make Them Work for Their Food
We mustn’t forget that cats are natural hunters—rather than just placing food in front of them, it is much more satisfying for our kitties to hunt it down themselves. Invest in a feeder that requires some sort of input from your cat—they will love it.
Play With Them
We love sofa cuddle times too, but don’t forget your cat also needs some more active attention. Get yourself a string toy and play with your cat at least once a day, even if only for a few minutes—you will see a massive difference in their behavior and mood.
Open the Curtains
Before heading out for the day, make sure the curtains are open in every room. A window to the outside world is an indoor kitty’s version of a TV—and watching this all day will entertain them brilliantly.
