After you make your morning cup of coffee, most likely you throw away the grounds. Well, that is one habit that you should certainly break because there are so many amazing things you can create with coffee grounds! Check out these tips and put those grounds to good use.

Don’t chuck those used coffee grounds in the garbage! Instead, add them to your garden. Mixing coffee grounds in with your compost or soil adds essential nitrogen as well as trace amounts of phosphorus and potassium to help your plants grow. Acid loving plants really dig coffee grounds. And while you’re at it, pitch your paper coffee filters in the compost bin too. They’ll biodegrade! Or reuse the filters in the bottom of pots so dirt doesn't spill out of the drainage holes. . . . #homegrownfood #farmtotable#gardenfresh#victorygarden #growyourownfood#growwhatyoueat#growsomething #growsomethinggreen#growfoodnotlawns #vegetablegarden#organicgardening #organicgarden#urbangarden #urbangardening #homegrownveggies#greenthumb#backyardgardening#backyardgarden#gardenbed#gardenbeds#seedsnow #compost #composting#coffeegrounds #reducereuserecycle #organicwaste #sustainableagriculture #zerowaste #foodwaste #wastenotwantnot

Steak Rub

The slight taste of coffee goes hand in hand with steak. It will add a complex, rich, slightly smoky flavor to the meat and looks very impressive.

Absorb Bad Odors

In the same way that baking soda absorbs all those bad smells in your fridge, coffee grounds do the exact same thing! Just fill up a cup with the grounds, put in the back of the fridge for up to a month and everything will be smelling just great.

Helps Cleaning

Coffee grounds are a great way to help clean off stuck on foods on pots, pans, even your counters! Now you don’t have to work so hard with coffee on your side.

Homemade Dye

Coffee is obviously something that can stain your clothes in an instant. But, you can also use that power for good! Using coffee as a natural dye will turn your clothes into a beautiful golden color.
