Foods You Didn’t Know You Could Cook in a Microwave

Sometimes we don’t have time to cook our favorite meals in the oven and some of us don’t have this option because we don’t own an oven. Good news – you can prepare some of your go-to meals in the microwave.

Potatoes

Potatoes take a long time to cook in the oven. If you don’t have an hour to wait for your potatoes to cook, you can cook them in a microwave, which will take 10 minutes tops. To do this, just place potatoes on a plate and microwave for 5 minutes, then turn over and cook them for 5 more minutes.

Eggs

If there isn’t a stove nearby or you want to save some time in the morning, use a microwave to make scrambled eggs for breakfast. Place the eggs in a bowl and add salt, pepper and other ingredients. Cook for 45 seconds, give a stir and then cook for another 30 seconds.

Fish

Maybe you didn’t know this, but most fish taste great when cooked in a microwave. Just wrap your fish in parchment paper, add potatoes or other vegetables to keep it moist and cook until it’s done.
