The summer has come to an end and it’s time to make some changes and embrace the warmer tones of fall. One of the latest hair trends that’s inspired by the upcoming season is “flannel hair.”
Flannel-colored hair is a perfect combination of copper, auburn, and deep-red hues that gives hair that warm and soothing look you want to have in the fall. The best thing about this hair color is that it looks perfectly with almost any skin tone.
“Golden skin tones will look better with coppers, oranges, and golds,” hairstylist George Papanikolas told Allure. “Darker complexions and olive skin will look better with cooler blue-reds, like merlot, burgundy, and auburn. Weaving in multiple tones in the flannel shades is what makes this look current and modern. It should be blended, dimensional, and in the red/orange/violet family [to work effectively].”
Papanikolas’ clients include Emma Stone, Florence Welch, Julianne Moore, and Debra Messing, so he’s definitely one of the best in the business.
