Doing Your Laundry During Long Travels

When you stay on the road for too long, waiting to get back home to do laundry is not an option. You’ll have to take care of your dirty clothes while still on the road, and here’s how you can keep them nice and clean.

Laundry Service

Local laundromats are not hard to find, and you should check out if there’s one in close proximity to your accommodation. Do some research, see if they fit your budget, and make sure they have a dryer on the spot, especially if you’re leaving the city soon.

Hostel Laundry

Most hostels offer laundry service with an extra charge, and private apartments do too. If washing your laundry is a necessity, make sure to check if there are washing and drying machines on the premises, but bring your own detergent in case it’s not provided.

Washing by Hand

Washing laundry by hand is also an option, especially if your trip is not long enough to have a whole batch of clothes. If you decide to do this, don’t wait for your clothes to pile up, and wash them every day because it takes time for them to dry.
