2019 really seems to be the year of Frida Kahlo-inspired fashion lines. Shortly after Vans celebrated the famed Mexican artist with a new collection of shoes, Ulta Beauty decided to do the same with their latest makeup range.
Monica Arnaudo, Ulta’s senior vice president of merchandising, discussed their Kahlo-inspired collection with Allure. She said they really tried to capture “passion, free spirit, and unapologetic approach to self-expression” of this iconic and inspirational figure with their makeup range.
Ulta’s Frida Kahlo collection will make its way to the stores and online on July 22nd, and it looks pretty impressive so far. With a total of nine different products, ranging in price between $10 and $30, it provides you with all you need to copy the look of the iconic artist.
The list of products includes a blush and bronzer duo, matte liquid lipsticks in four different shades, brow master palette, liquid illuminator, face primer, artist brush set, cosmetic bag, and a floral headband. Our absolute favorite is the Signature Box, which features an eye shadow palette, a hue shadow switching pan, and a keepsake box.
