Cat or Dog: How to Choose a Pet?

When you’re about to get a new pet, it’s never easy to decide on which animal it should be. Cats and dogs are the most common and obvious choices, but how do you know if you’re a cat or a dog person – or perhaps both? Here’s what you should consider.

Living Space

It’s important to take your living arrangements into consideration before anything else. Your pet will be spending a lot of time at home, so a city apartment may not be a great option for a dog, especially a dog that requires often walking. Cats are typically a better choice here because they can entertain themselves all day long if they want, as long as you provide a few toys.

Dogs for Families

If you live alone and even travel a lot, your dog will get lonely and depressed. That’s why dogs are a better choice for families where someone is at home almost at all times.

Walks Outside

If you’re looking forward to taking walks with your pet, you better get a dog. Training a cat and getting it on the leash is not an easy task as they tend to be more independent.
