A lot of people are on very distinct sides of this argument. While some find that consumers need to buy paper books in order to support brick-and-mortar bookstores, authors, and the book industry in general, other claim that e-readers are better for the environment since they are paperless and don’t create any waste.

If you can’t decide whether to pick up a new novel from a bookstore or buy it on your e-reader, let this guide help you out.

The great thing about e-readers is that you can carry hundreds of books with you without all the weight. If you are someone who travels a lot, this is a great benefit, as you don’t need to pick and choose your books. The other thing is that if you like to read in a foreign language, e-readers have dictionaries, so if you don’t understand a word, you’re just a click away from its definition.

Books

There is nothing like holding a book in your hand, seeing how many physical pages you have left in a chapter, and closing it for the last time when you’re done. Unlike e-readers, you don’t have to worry about it being charged or getting a headache from looking at a screen, which is a luxury in and of itself.
