Most artists use plain paper for their paintings and drawings because they want to start with an empty blueprint—but not Ursula Doughty. What makes her creations so special is the fact she draws them on sheet music.
Doughty came up with this idea while working at a boarding school where a famous Austrian boys choir performed. She would stumble upon sheet music on a daily basis, and realized there’s a way to mix her two favorite art forms into one.
Doughty started painting on music sheets of her favorite Disney theme songs and decorated them by drawing characters and scenes from movies they originate from. She’s best known for Disney-inspired paintings, but her portfolio includes works of art that have nothing do with their animated classics.
Doughty perfected this technique on her own and attracted over 70,000 followers since starting her Instagram page. Her music sheets drawings are an amazing present for piano players in your life—especially the ones who happen to be huge Disney fans.
