We can always count on Haute Couture Fashion Week to introduce us to new fashion trends that we’ll be seeing everywhere in the next few months. From edgy corsets to oversized bows, here are five emerging fashion trends that made the biggest impact on the runway this year.

Coming Up Roses

We’ve recently seen many luxury houses incorporate roses into their designs. Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani Privé, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Valentino are not letting go of this trend.

Battle Time

Metallic looks were all the rage during Haute Couture Fashion Week, and many of them just happened to resemble medieval armor, adding a touch of thrill to delicate luxury designs.

Wild Ruffles

Ruffles are never going out of style and they’re just becoming wilder and more extravagant thanks to the likes of Juana Martin, Rami Al Ali, and Alexandre Vauthier.

Corset Domination

Corsets have been ruling the fashion world for quite some time, and they’re here to stay! Everyone from Schiaparelli to Zuhair Murad introduced us to extravagant new looks featuring corset-style tops.

Bow Bonanza

Bows had their moment in the spotlight a few years ago, and they’re making a chic comeback. Larger-than-life bows were a staple in collections by several renowned designers, from Viktor & Rolf and Rahul Mishra.
