Chips and dip—it has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? While chips and guacamole is a classic dish, there are so many other delicious foods that taste equally as amazing with this delicious dip. It’s not just salty foods that pair well with dips, sweet ones also make nice additions. If you’re looking to try something new or an alternative to tortilla chips, here are five foods that taste amazing with guac.

Veggies

Veggies are a great low-calorie alternative to chips and they’ll give you the same crunch that chips do. Cucumbers, carrots, bell peppers, broccoli, and celery are great veggies to enjoy with guac.

Fruit

When you think of things to have with guac, typically salty foods come to mind. But, fruit tastes amazing with the dip. Pineapple, pears, honeydew, watermelon, and apples add a nice sweetness to guac.

Shrimp

Get fancy and serve shrimp with guac. Use cooked shrimp, like the ones you dip in cocktail sauces, for a restuarant-worthy appetizer.

Crackers and Breadsticks

For the same crunch, but a different taste, try crackers and breadsticks with seeds and oats.

Pretzels

Pretzels are probably the closest food to chips and they’re just as salty as them, making them a great pairing with guac.
