49ers Blow Out Jets, Comes With Tons of Injuries

The San Francisco 49ers crushed the Jets 31-13 and they should have been happy leaving the field, but their win was overshadowed by the tons of severe injuries that happened along the way.

Defense star Nick Bosa suffered from a season ending injury tearing his ACL. Bosa was a top candidate for Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020-2021 and last year he was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Another important member of the defensive front, Solomon Thomas, tore his ACL and he’ll also be out for the rest of the season.

Even starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered from an injury—a high-ankle sprain which will likely causes him to miss a few weeks. And it doesn’t end there—starting running back Raheem Mostert and his backup Tevin Coleman also suffered from injuries.

Head coach of the 49ers Kyle Shanahan said that players were complaining about the sticky turf at MetLife Stadium and that they were worried they were going to get injured. Of course, the NFL is looking into the issue more carefuly.

We hope the issue gets solved before the 49ers take on the Giants at MetLife Stadium next week.
