It’s time for spring cleaning and one of the biggest tasks you need to do is organizing the closet. Sorting through all the clothes and arranging them in a way that makes the most sense to you is a big project, but it’s definitely worth the trouble. Here are three rules to follow for the best results.
Declutter Before Organizing
Before you even start thinking about how to organize your clothes, you need to declutter everything you don’t need anymore. You can donate, sell, or throw out the items you no longer wear and enjoy your new space to display your favorite clothes.
Get Hangers and Boxes
You need the hangers to hang the clothes so it’ll be easier to see what you have and the boxes will be used to store away clothes that are out of season. If you don’t do this, you’ll never have an organized closet, perfectly curated for the season ahead of you.
Be Smart About It
Think of places that make the most sense for certain garments. You won’t store dresses and jeans in the same way, and if you have a separate closet for work, you may not want to mix them with your casual clothes.
