Zim&Zou’s Magical Paper Art is Straight Out of This World

If you’re a huge fan of paper art, creative duo Zim&Zou will make you love it even more. They use paper to craft colorful, outwardly sculptures that look straight out of our wildest dreams.

Zim&Zou is composed of Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann, two artists from Dordogne, France. They joined forces after completing their graphic design studies and started experimenting with paper because they had easy access to colorful paper sheets.

Zim&Zou claim they find paper inspiring due to its versatility, infinite range of colors, and unique textures. They use paper to craft intricate and colorful sculptures, shaped like zeppelins, forest homes, castles, and other whimsical flying objects and buildings.

While discussing their paper art with Adobe Create, Zim&Zou described their designs as “very intricate and time-consuming”. They crafted visuals, window displays, and installations over the years, and their main goal was to tell a unique story with each of their creations.
