  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pistachios, shelled and chopped

  • 1/2 cup whole-wheat pasta flour or whole-wheat flour

  • 1 1/2 cups oats

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saute pan, melt the butter over medium-low heat, swirling the pan occasionally and cooking until butter turns golden brown and smells nutty, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add honey, walnuts, pistachios, cinnamon, salt, and cloves and bring the mixture to a simmer. Keep stirring occasionally until syrupy, about 2 minutes.
  4. Transfer into a large mixing bowl and set aside to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  5. Add the egg and vanilla to the honey mixture and stir. Add the flour and baking soda and stir until no flour traces remain. Add oats and stir.

  8. Transfer to a wire cooling rack and let them cool.
  9. Enjoy!
