When you’re furnishing a home, there is a lot of thought and money that has to go into it. A good way to save some cash, be environmentally friendly and find unique pieces if by buying second hand. A lot of people discount second-hand items because they want all new things, but in reality, things that are second hand are almost always better quality and will allow you to invest your money into new items that will last longer!

Bed Frame

A beautiful bed frame can cost you quite a bit of money, so to save on that cost, buy one-second hand! You can either go simple or something elaborate, but having a really nice bedframe gives you a great foundation to the rest of the room.

This one is named The Newlyweds (read why below). >>> This gorgeous balcony suite is called "The Newlyweds" for John & Ida Gross, who were given the estate as a wedding gift by Ida's parents, Herman & Bertha Marwitz. John & Ida commissioned the expansion construction in 1889 and again in 1898 to include the features and extra rooms we see today. This is one of the largest suites of the estate lined with tall windows, a private full bathroom, and connected sitting room. The bedroom overlooks the back of the property, and hand-carved claw foot king bed and deep red chairs are original to the home. The space is decorated by antique bust lamps and bedside tables, and topped with modern abstract artwork. Step into the seating area, and a beautifully large window casts natural light over the antique fireplace.
