Not only are the health benefits extensive, they are cost-effective are can be used in many different kinds of cuisines. Whether you buy them dried or from a can, you can’t go wrong with these bean recipes!

Black Bean Brownies

Although not traditionally used in a sweet application, you will be amazed how the flavor of black beans are hidden in these brownies! Most recipes call for the same ingredients as normal brownies, all you need for this variation is to puree the black beans with your wet ingredients first in a food processor.

White Bean Minestrone

There is nothing like a pot of hot soup at the end of the workday. Like many Italian dishes, minestrone is something that only gets better as it sits for a few days, making this an easy go-to meal that will last you the week. Simply make the soup as normal with a mirepoix, tomatoes, broth, and greens. Add in white beans at the end to warm through and absorb the flavors, and you have a protein packed meatless dinner!
