Conditioning your hair perfectly can be a delicate process. There are many factors to think of, like hair texture, shape, and moisture level. Your personal preference will play a role too, both in terms of ingredients and the way the hair looks and feels. Here are some tips to get you started.

Curly Hair

For thick curly hair, deep hydrating conditioner is your friend. Keep an eye out for natural oils like almond oil, coconut oil, and argan oil. These ingredients will keep your hair shiny and soft and help fight frizz to help your curls keep their natural shape.

Straight Hair

If your hair is straight and fine, you can look for volumizing conditioners to help give it body. Proteins, keratin, and biotin will help strengthen your strands to give them more thickness. Some conditioners have polymers added to plump your hair up without weighing it down.

Damaged Hair

If your hair is dry, damaged, or bleach-treated, look for silicones in your conditioner. These are a good option for straighter dry hair as they will add shine and smoothness but may take the shape out of curls. If you prefer natural products, you can buy plant oil-based conditioners.
