From individually wrapped packages given to kids at restaurants to the box of half used half broken ones, every household has a stash of crayons that are never used. Although these colorfully waxy sticks may seem obsolete, you can easily turn them into something usable with hardly any effort involved.

Crayon Candles

Crayons are the perfect material for making candles. They melt easily, and the variety of colors that they come in make any candle super customizable. There are so many different ways to make the candles; melting them in old cupcake tins in the oven, melting them on the stove and pouring into jars, but by far the easiest is to make them in your slow cooker! All you need is to break the crayons apart, put them in glass jars with a wick, turn it on and walk away! No fuss candles.

New Crayons

A fun project to do with friends or children is to turn the old broken crayons into new crayons! Simply fill oven safe molds of any shape with the crayons, put them in the oven, and you have brand new crayons. To make them more fun, mix multiple colors into each crayon for even more colorful drawings.
