After the Tennessee Titans defense got hit with several injuries recently, the team reportedly decided to give veteran linebacker Brooks Reed a look. According to The Athletics‘ John Glennon, the Titans decided to bring in Reed for a workout this week and are interested in signing him if everything goes well.

Reed has been without a team since his contract with the Arizona Cardinals expired back in March. He made nine appearances for the Cardinals during the 2019 NFL season, contributing with eight tackles, 1.0 sacks, and one QB hit.

Depth on linebacker position became an issue for the Titans in recent days as they were forced to place two impactful players on injured reserve Jadeveon Clowney landed on IR with a knee injury last week while and Jayon Brown followed Tuesday due to elbow issues.

At the age of 33, Brooks Reed is on the back end of his career but could prove useful for Titans if he gets a chance. Reed, who previously also suited up for Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons, has 22.5 career sacks in NFL to go with 284 tackles, 55 QB hits, and four forced fumbles.
