Traveling with a low budget airline is all fun and games until you realize the tickets aren’t as cheap as you first thought. Many of the things you usually get for free come with a high price, and here’s a couple of hidden costs you should keep in mind before booking your flight.
Seat Allocation
Do you want to avoid the horrors of the middle seat or look through a window during your flight? Sure thing, but you’ll have to pay extra if you want to pick your seat.
Extra Luggage
If you’re traveling light, low budget airlines are a perfect pick, but things tend to get a bit tricky if you need to bring a lot of luggage on board. Standard price usually only includes a carry-on, and you’ll have to pay extra for everything else.
Airplane Food
You won’t get any free food while flying with a low budget company – not even snacks or water – because they charge extra for all the food and drinks they serve.
Checking In
Make sure to check in online whenever you’re flying with one of these companies unless you want to pay a high fee for doing it at the airport.
