Be Healthier This Holiday Season

During the holiday season, it’s very easy to fall into bad habits when it comes to food and fitness. It’s cold outside and cozy inside – who would want to go to the gym?! And, there’s so much great food to eat, it’s very hard to stop.

We totally get it, but there are still a few things you can do to make sure you’re not taking things too far.

Drink Water

It can be so easy to overdo it when you have a table full of delicious food in front of you. However, we know a simple trick that can really work miracles if you stick to it. Drinking a glass or two of water before and during the meal will make you feel fuller and help you manage your portions.

Eat a snack

Fasting before a big family feast, because you know you’ll be eating plenty of food later, is not a great idea. On the contrary, that can only make you hungrier and more likely to overeat. It’s much better to treat yourself with a healthy snack with greens and veggies before the meal.

Exercise at Home

We know how hard it can be to hit the gym or go for a walk on a cold winter day. However, there are plenty of exercises you can do at home such as lunges, wall sits, planks and crunches. They’re great for getting your heart rate up and you don’t need any equipment to do them.
