Alison from the food blog Loving It Vegan shared an extremely easy set of instructions to make this delicious smoothie. You only need a watermelon and two limes to juice this refreshing drink on your own.
Alison describes her watermelon smoothie as an amazing breakfast option or a post-workout snack, and we can’t help but agree. You can make it in a matter of seconds, but feel free to get creative and add a couple more ingredients to the mix, and see if you can make it even better.
Ingredients
- 6 and 1/2 cups (2.2lb/1kg) Watermelon (cubed)
- 2 Limes (Juiced)
Instructions
- Keep your watermelon chilled in the fridge and when you’re ready to make this smoothie, chop the watermelon into cubes and add to the blender jug.
- Squeeze the limes and add the juice to the blender jug.
- Blend well and then strain it through a kitchen sieve to remove the rough seeds so that you’re left with a very smooth drink. If you happen to use a seedless watermelon you should still strain it so that your smoothie is perfectly smooth.
- Serve immediately.
