Carving fruit and vegetables is an underrated art form most people haven’t even heard of, but once you see Daniele Barresi’s creations, you won’t be able to get them out of your head. This artist spent two decades carving intricate food sculptures, and they are the stuff of dreams.
Barresi spent his childhood in Italy, and that was where he fell in love with carving and started creating incredible works of art. He was only seven when he discovered his passion for carving, and he’s hoping large audience will recognize its value thanks to his work.
Barresi developed his skills and techniques as he grew up and practices on many different objects, including fruits, vegetables, cheeses and soaps. He is transported into a magical universe every time he commits to his craft, and that’s probably part of the reason why his creations seem so outwardly.
The young artist did wonders with every material he touched, but his fruit and vegetable structures really captivated our mind. It’s amazing to see the attention to detail Barresi managed to master, especially since these objects don’t have extremely firm structure and most carving artists wouldn’t dare give them a shot.
