The Best and Easiest Key Lime Pie

Ingredients:

Graham cracker crust:

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 5 tablespoons melted and slightly cooled unsalted butter

Filling:

  • 2 14-oz cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 1 cup key lime juice

Topping:

  • whipped cream

Instructions:

  1. Set the oven to 350 F degrees.
  2. Add the sugar and graham crackers in a bowl and mix them well. Include the butter and mix again until all of the crackers are covered in butter.
  3. Get a 9-inch plate and place the graham cracker base on the bottom and on the sides. Use pressure to make it thin and even.
  4. Place the dish in the oven for 10 minutes, then let it cool down for another 10.
  5. While you’re waiting you can make the filling.
  6. Mix the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and egg yolks. Whisk to blend the ingredients together.
  7. When the crust is cooled down, you can add the filling on top of it.
  8. Bake the key lime pie once again for 18 to 22 minutes. You’ll know that it’s done when it’s a little jiggly like a jelly.
  9. Let it cool down for 2 hours on a rack, then place it in the fridge for at least 6 hours. Add the whipped cream and you can now serve your pie.
