Trends definitely come and go in circles and after years of minimalism being present in all aspects of our lives, it’s time to enjoy holiday decor to the max. One particular trend from the ‘80s made a comeback this year as many people decided that tinsels are just what their trees were missing. There are over 16k posts tagged #tinseltree on Instagram, so we bring you some of the most beautiful trees decorated with tinsels this year.

The trend has a lot to do with millennials being adults with their own families and wanting to recreate the holiday spirit from their childhood. Many remember chaotic Christmas trees with colorful ornaments and plenty of tinsels, also in many colors. It seems like the revived trend focuses on the neutral-colored tinsels that emphasize the beauty of the tree instead of overtaking the show. Silver and gold are the most obvious choices, but plenty of other colors are available.

What do you think about putting tinsels on your Christmas tree? Are you ready to accept maximalism and enjoy the most colorful Christmas ever?
