Searching for the perfect breakfast to get you feeling ready to take on the day? Look no further than this energizing breakfast smoothie.

Packed with fiber, protein, and other essential nutrients, this supercharged smoothie will keep you feeling full and satisfied until lunchtime! Oats are a fantastic source of slow-release energy, chia seeds are full of omega-3 fatty acids, while berries, bananas, and greens are a delicious way to up your intake of health-boosting vitamins and minerals. 

Plus, it takes just 5 minutes to prepare, giving you more time for yourself in the morning. 

Don’t have time to eat breakfast at home? Simply pop your smoothie in a keep-cup and enjoy while on your commute! 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp rolled oats
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • ½ cup chopped banana
  • ½ cup frozen berries 
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 2 tsp honey/agave syrup or your favorite sweetener
  • 1 cup plant-based milk (we love oat or almond) 

Optional Additions

  • Sipping your smoothie after a workout? Add a scoop of your favorite vegan protein powder to help replenish those tired muscles. 
  • Fancy making your smoothie even more creamy? Add ½ an avocado to increase your intake of beneficial fatty acids and healthy oils. 
  • For a delicious fall-inspired flavor, add 1 tsp of cinnamon to your smoothie mix

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until well combined. 
  2. Enjoy!

While scrolling through Instagram, it’s hard not to come across pictures of smoothie bowls. This healthy breakfast treat is a step up from regular smoothies because its thicker texture allows you to savor it and you can add your favorite toppings! Creating your very own Instagram-worthy smoothie bowl is as easy as following these three steps. Remember, you can adjust the toppings and fruits to your liking.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup fat-free milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1/4 cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup of ice cubes
  • Optional toppings: sliced fresh strawberries, fresh raspberries, chia seeds, unsweetened shredded coconut, nuts, fresh pumpkin seeds, bananas, cacao nibs, and granola

Instructions:

  1. Put the milk, berries, and sugar in a blender. Cover the blender and blend it until it’s smooth.
  2. Add the ice cubs and cover it. Continue blending the smoothie until it’s smooth.
  3. Put the smoothie in a bowl and top it off with the toppings you selected.

  • ¾ cup brewed coffee, cooled in the fridge
  • 1 frozen medium ripe banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter (or nut butter of choice)
  • ¾ cup frozen cauliflower (or ½ cup ice)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk, plus more if necessary
  • 1/2 tablespoon cacao powder (or use unsweetened cocoa powder)
  • 1 serving collagen peptides (or your favorite protein powder)

Instructions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes until smooth.

We stumbled upon countless tasty recipes for this healthy breakfast option, and Monique from Ambitious Kitchen shared one of our absolute favorites on Instagram. She described it as the perfect way to use up leftover pumpkin puree and inspired 287,000 of her followers to give it a try.

Pumpkins aren’t the only healthy ingredient in this tasty treat. Monique also recommends using one frozen banana, pumpkin and spice yogurt, almond or pecan butter, and almond milk. Once you’re done blending them together, your smoothie will look almost too good to drink – but don’t let that stop you from giving it a taste.

Watermelon is one of the most refreshing fruits on the market, and no summer can go without it. It’s already 92% water, but if you’re looking for a way to consume it in 100% liquid form – we’ve got a recipe just for you.

Alison from the food blog Loving It Vegan shared an extremely easy set of instructions to make this delicious smoothie. You only need a watermelon and two limes to juice this refreshing drink on your own.

Alison describes her watermelon smoothie as an amazing breakfast option or a post-workout snack, and we can’t help but agree. You can make it in a matter of seconds, but feel free to get creative and add a couple more ingredients to the mix, and see if you can make it even better.

Ingredients

  • 6 and 1/2 cups (2.2lb/1kg) Watermelon (cubed)
  • 2 Limes (Juiced)

Instructions

  1. Keep your watermelon chilled in the fridge and when you’re ready to make this smoothie, chop the watermelon into cubes and add to the blender jug.
  2. Squeeze the limes and add the juice to the blender jug.
  3. Blend well and then strain it through a kitchen sieve to remove the rough seeds so that you’re left with a very smooth drink. If you happen to use a seedless watermelon you should still strain it so that your smoothie is perfectly smooth.
  4. Serve immediately.
