When lips are dry, our first instinct is to moisten them—usually by licking. But the enzymes in our saliva can actually have a counter effect and dry out our lips even more. Another harmful habit is picking at the skin that is flaking off. As tempting as it may be, pulling, biting, and picking can all cause even more damage.
If your lips are dry and cracking, lip balm really is your best friend. Look for a product that contains lanolin or petroleum as these can lock in moisture and smooth out the chapped skin. It’s best to avoid anything with camphor or menthol, however, as these can leave your lips feeling painful and irritated.

Just like the ingredient list, the preparation process is also very simple. Find a small bowl and put all of the ingredients inside. Mix everything until you get a chocolate paste. When you want to apply it on the lips, gently get some of the paste with your fingers or with a spatula. Keep it on for around 5 minutes. Remove it with water.
