It’s commonly believed that drinking water while eating will slow down the digestion process. Turns out, that’s not entirely true. Hydrating your body first thing in the morning is so important, because as you sleep, your body becomes dehydrated. Whether it’s just a few push ups, 5 minutes of stretching, or a short walk, doing exercise in the morning is another thing that will wake you up and get your day started right. Don’t feel like you need to do a big workout, something is better than nothing.

Have you ever felt like you needed to go on walks more often, but would rather watch TV instead? Well, there’s something great that might work for you.

It’s called temptation bundling, and it’s a term coined by Professor Katherine Milkman, and it’s the idea that if you do something that is pleasant for you at the same time you do something unpleasant, it’ll balance out and you’ll be able to actually do the unpleasant thing more often!

This is great for people who need a little incentive to get through things they don’t necessarily like doing. The important thing is that both things happen simultaneously because you basically want to try to minimize the unpleasant thing as much as possible.

A good way for you to do this is by thinking of one thing you would like to do more of, and one thing you can do that you love at the same time.

This can be watching TV while you’re running at the gym, drinking a cocktail while you do household chores, or even going to a restaurant you love with someone who you maybe don’t love to hang out with. Whatever way you decide to utilize it, temptation bundling might just be the thing for you.

It’s not always easy to know what’s healthy and what’s not. Sometimes, the opinions on a single topic will be completely divided, leaving us baffled about what we should actually do. Today’s topic: is it really harmful to drink water during meals?

It’s commonly believed that drinking water while eating will slow down the digestion process. Turns out, that’s not entirely true. Water actually stays in our stomach for no longer than 10 minutes – not nearly enough to affect the digestion. If anything, it can help soften the swallowed food digest faster.

Our bodies are too complicated to let a glass of water mess with the stomach acid necessary for digestion, so feel free to drink as much water as you want during the day, even while you’re eating!

Watch Your Caffeine Intake

Red, purple, and orange vegetables should be a mandatory part of your day as they contain plenty of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Fix Your Posture

Sitting at your desk for 8 hours every day is everything but good for your body. Make sure you’re keeping your back straight at all times and take any chance you have to walk around, at least for a few minutes.
