]]> Thick brows have been around for some time and the world has completely forgotten what it was like when everybody plucked their eyebrows until they were left with a single thin line. We definitely like the recent trends more and have seen several different sub-trends emerge from the thick brow trend. The latest one is called brow lamination. If you still haven’t heard of it, here’s what it’s all about.

Brow lamination first appeared in Moscow. It involves a semi-permanent chemical formula that includes acids and keratin. The formula is applied to the brows using a comb to help them achieve the desired shape. The result lasts for six to eight weeks and it’s pain-free. A patch-test is needed before the first procedure in case of an allergic reaction.

A 40-minute session gets you lasting results that will give you perfect eyebrows for weeks. The treatment is perfect for all types of eyebrows, including thick and dark brows and thin ones that need to be filled out with a pencil daily.

I've become slightly obsessed with reading about actress Sharon Tate after watching Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and listening to the podcast You Must Remember This. I've yet to watch any of her films, but I intend to soon. I didn't know much about her before but I've found myself researching the late 60s in Hollywood and particularly her very short life and career. Obviously that includes her style, hair and makeup. Today I based my makeup on some photos of her with some dark lids, a little eyeliner flick and pale lips with liner. If you get the chance I'd highly recommend listening to the podcast or even just reading up about Sharon Tate and her life and career before she was tragically murdered. Don’t overdo it

Many people are so afraid of the unibrow that they tend to overpluck the space between their brows. Use the bridge of your nose as the line where your brow should start to avoid the void.

Check your tweezer frequently

When your hair keeps slipping from between your tweezers, or you struggle to bring the two-point together, you should invest in a new pair. Keep them clean and gunk-free.

Don’t pluck too often

There are a lot of people that find plucking strangely satisfying. When you over-pluck, you are not doing your frame any favors. Once every three weeks is ideal.

Don’t forget the top

When you pluck below the brow, you might end up with a constantly surprised look. Instead, shape from the top and only remove stray hairs from below.

Eyebrow pencils are only for definition

They were not intended for you to draw a whole new brow. Light feathery strokes will take your brows from ok to amazing.

I've become slightly obsessed with reading about actress Sharon Tate after watching Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and listening to the podcast You Must Remember This. I've yet to watch any of her films, but I intend to soon. I didn't know much about her before but I've found myself researching the late 60s in Hollywood and particularly her very short life and career. Obviously that includes her style, hair and makeup. Today I based my makeup on some photos of her with some dark lids, a little eyeliner flick and pale lips with liner. If you get the chance I'd highly recommend listening to the podcast or even just reading up about Sharon Tate and her life and career before she was tragically murdered. ]]> Eyebrows are a defining facial feature so you want to ensure that they look absolutely fabulous. Yet many people are unaware of the mistakes they make with their brows. Here is a list of the most common mistakes and how to avoid them.

Don’t overdo it

Many people are so afraid of the unibrow that they tend to overpluck the space between their brows. Use the bridge of your nose as the line where your brow should start to avoid the void.

Check your tweezer frequently

When your hair keeps slipping from between your tweezers, or you struggle to bring the two-point together, you should invest in a new pair. Keep them clean and gunk-free.

Don’t pluck too often

There are a lot of people that find plucking strangely satisfying. When you over-pluck, you are not doing your frame any favors. Once every three weeks is ideal.

Don’t forget the top

When you pluck below the brow, you might end up with a constantly surprised look. Instead, shape from the top and only remove stray hairs from below.

Eyebrow pencils are only for definition

They were not intended for you to draw a whole new brow. Light feathery strokes will take your brows from ok to amazing.
