Stevens goes by the name Lisa Seaurchin, and her Instagram page attracted over 35,000 followers over the years. She mostly focuses on crafting ceramics and sculptural jewelry, available for purchase at her Etsy store.

Stevens usually works with high-fired porcelain clay and doesn’t use stamps or molds to create intricate textures that her coral reefs creations are best known for. She uses a variety of small tools to create these patterns, and it’s a time-consuming and rewarding at the same time.

Stevens draws inspiration from nature, and most of her ceramic creations take a form of coral reefs, flowers, and lichen. She’s hoping her art will highlight the impact that humans have on the environment, and inspire people to make a small, but important change so coral reefs could remain as beautiful as she sees them.

Lee says she was always passionate about ceramics and Egyptian art and she decided to combine these passions and her love for animals in order to create something good. Her ceramic vessels, inspired by Egyptian Canopic Jars, were made by combining techniques of throwing, slipcasting, and hand building. First, she created vessels shaped like bears, bunnies, and foxes, but then she decided to focus on animals that are at risk of extinction.

“I want to let others know commonly seen animals like the polar bears and koalas are actually at risk of being endangered, so I also handwrite the name of the animal as well as its Conservation Status by the IUCN at the bottom of the jars,” the artist shared on Bored Panda.

This Hawaiin artist specializes in the creation of ceramic miniatures, but that wasn’t always the case. He abandoned “bigger is better” mentality after reading a book on this subject matter, and decided to give it a shot.

His outlook on art completely shifted, and he quickly discovered that the creation of tiny pieces requires even more effort. Attention to detail is essential, and he perfected it by testing different clay bodies, making his own tools and trying new techniques.

Almeda has been creating miniature ceramic pieces for almost two decades, but the rise of social media helped him get the word out. His Instagram page currently has 283.000 followers, who are constantly impressed by the fact his tiny creations look just like their large counterparts until you see them side by side with other everyday objects.
