]]>Soolooka makes it her mission to comfort lonely souls, letting them know that they’re not lonely after all, and water the seeds of self-love in the hearts of others. Her illustrations deal with various subjects that anyone can relate to: important life challenges like putting ourselves first, listening to our hearts, coping with anxiety and sadness, taking time to heal, and generally embracing all that life throws our way.
On top of delivering super-important messages, she does it with a crazy amount of talent! Her illustrations are incredibly sweet, colorful, and straight-out magical. The way she anthropomorphizes the heart and emotions, adding her loving touch and lovely palette of colors to every situation she illustrates just makes everything better.
Btw, Soolooka also offers many of her illustrations along with encouraging and inspiring texts in her book, I Believe in Me, as well as various illustrated merchandise.

]]>Lete’s house (an overgrown dollhouse that she nurtures with her husband and daughter) is in and of itself a piece of art. “We like wood, the furniture of the 60s and 70s along with black, gold shades,” shared the artist in a recent interview with Amara, admitting that quarantine meant she could further tend to her home, decorating it as she pleased. This mainly meant painting her walls with blooming flowers.
“What I liked especially was the idea of [creating] your own world, kind of a nest, just filled with your own art,” she further shared in an interview with My Modern Met. “From wall paintings to the rugs, from the fabrics to the lamps and everyday dishes. The idea is that you can transform a simple place and furniture found on the street into something special and personal.”
Based in Paris, Lete draws inspiration from her mixed background and multicultural upbringing. Born in 1964 to a Chinese father and a German mother, her work is mainly influenced by folk art. Its naive quality means it can appeal to a wide audience – from children to adults.
“I’m inspired by nature, flowers, animals, insects… and also a lot by vintage toys…” notes Lete. “I also love textiles, folk art… all the applied art in fact. When I was a student, I once saw a book about the Bloomsbury Group (The Bloomsbury Group was an influential group of associated English writers, intellectuals, philosophers, and artists, including Virginia Woolf & E.M. Forester) and I fell in love with this atmosphere.”

]]>“We use our phones, tablets, and notebooks everywhere in our lives. I try finding those moments when we can see their ubiquitousness as funny and likable,” the artist tells Bored Panda.
Papp is not the first artist to use this subject, but unlike many others, she doesn’t mean to criticize the way we use phones in virtually every situation. Instead, she points out how cute it can be and how phones naturally merged into our lives, not only taking away from them but also allowing for new experiences.
Phones can have so many different functions and we use them for various things – from timing something to watching movies, filming our pets doing fun things, and getting directions when we’re lost. Check out Papp’s point of view in the illustrations below and follow her on Instagram to see more.

Thomas became famous after one of her cosplays went viral. “I originally started my Instagram to practice special effects makeup [after] being inspired by FaceOff on SYFY, but I randomly decided to do a cosplay of the character Cynthia from Rugrats,” the artist told Allure. “That post tripled my following at the time, so I switched my focus to mainly cartoons and cosplays.”

]]>Her Instagram page, Kerry’s Bouqcakems now has nearly 200k followers and we’re honestly surprised there aren’t more people following her work. She manages to create edible art that’s loved by thousands of customers. Years of practice and passion helped her perfect her craft and today she offers online and in-person classes in the UK for anyone interested to learn how to do the same.
“I have always been a hobby baker and enjoyed baking for friends and family,” Roberts tells The Avid Pen. “I moved back to Norfolk after my second child was born and was looking for work I could do from home so that I wasn’t away from my two young children for long. A friend who had eaten my cupcakes suggested that I look at building this into a business, and as they say – the rest is history!”

]]>When it comes to baking, one of our favorite people to follow for inspiration is Siân-Amy Pettit. She shares her work on Instagram on the account called @thepetitepudding and her cakes look absolutely delicious!
Pettit has a unique decorating style that makes her cakes look like they’re made of beads. “I started out with more of a shag carpet piping technique,” she told My Modern Met, “but I quickly found I preferred a finer, more intricate, and more detailed look to my designs. Something that felt unique, too. So that’s where the technique began, but it continues to evolve.”
She finds inspiration in patterns and repeating elements. She often includes birds, fruits, and flowers in her designs so they have a tropical vibe. The colors on each of the cakes are just stunning! We’re sure you’re going to love her work as much as we do, so follow her for more beautiful cakes.

]]>Laetitia has always been interested in hair styling, but one day a unique photo series caught her eye. It was a compilation of different hairstyles of African women from different tribes. “They were giant, and I wondered how you could do that with hair,” she recalled.
Since then, she has been sharing her show-stopping hairstyles with hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram. According to Laetitia, she can spend anywhere from a few minutes to half a day on some of her artworks. She uses a few extra materials to help her out, including wires, pins, and fabrics.
The amazing artist uses these awesome hairstyles as a unique medium to express herself and her immense creativity. “I want people to see me not just as the girl who just uses her hair, but as a creative and versatile person — because I am,” she told Buzzfeed in an interview. “I’m very happy that lots of people are sharing my art. It encourages me a lot, but at the same time, I feel a bit of pressure from the expectations for my future work. I really hope I will be up to it!”
