Staying at a Party Hostel? Here’s What You Should Know First

If you’re a young traveler who enjoys going out and meeting new people, party hostels probably sound pretty appealing. Like any other type of accommodation, they come with many ups and downs, and here’s a couple of things you should know before booking a room in one.

No Sleep At All

Sleep masks and earplugs are a must if you’re trying to get some sleep at a party hostel, but there’s no guarantee you’ll be well-rested even if you have them. There’s usually a bar on the spot, and you’ll be dealing with a lot of noisy people if you’re staying at a dorm.

Price Over Comfort

Most people staying here are simply looking for an affordable place to crash for a night. That’s why you shouldn’t expect top service, and some amenities you get at other places – such as big comfy beds and free breakfast – probably aren’t available here.

Sightseeing Schedule

If none of this bothers you, and you still want to stay at one of these hostels and join the party, keep in mind your sightseeing schedule will be different than it usually is. You’ll get up late after staying up all night long, so plan your touristy activities accordingly.
