Ingredients

The star of this recipe is nutritional yeast. This is a type of yeast that is deactivated, which means it cannot be used as a rising agent. But, for some reason, it also tastes really cheesy! The best part is that there are a ton of B vitamins in it.

Method

  1. Boil and salt your water for the pasta
  2. Make a roux using olive oil, garlic, and flour.
  3. When the roux has come together, pour in whatever type of non-dairy milk you have on hand.
  4. Whisk the liquid in slowly to try to get out as many lumps as possible.
  5. Pour the liquid into a blender with nutritional yeast, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  6. Blend the sauce until smooth and pour over the cooked pasta
  7. Mix well and serve with a few leaves of parsley on top.
