Nike celebrate body diversity with a series of fabulous curvy mannequins.

Even the fittest models are photoshopped in the fashion industry, so it’s always refreshing when brands make a statement that embraces a woman’s natural figure. There is no one way to be a woman and a little inclusivity is always appreciated.

Nike has now added a series of mannequins to their stores which celebrate women of different sizes. Instead of modeling their clothes on 6 foot tall, 22-inch waist hourglass-figure dolls, they’re showing off their clothing range on all sorts of shapes and sizes.

Nike’s GM for Women in EMEA, Sharah Hannah, said: “With the incredible momentum in women’s sport right now, the re-designed space is just another demonstration of Nike’s commitment to inspiring and serving the female athlete.

“This is more than a shopping experience, it’s a destination to celebrate sport just in time for an incredible summer of football, netball, athletics and more.”

To some, the new addition to Nike stores will just be a mannequin but for others, this is a positive and refreshing step in the right direction.
