For one reason or another, different parts of your house can start to smell. Using air fresheners hardly do anything at all except leave an artificial scent looming for a few minutes. Instead, check out these techniques to keep your house smelling naturally good and not overly fragrant.

Bathroom

To keep the bathroom smelling great, put a few drops of an essential oil of your choice on the cardboard toilet roll. This will diffuse a lovely smell without being too noticeable. Also, make sure to change out your towels frequently as they can contain a nasty odor after too many uses.

Bedroom

For your closet, take some tea bags and hang them over the rod. This will deodorize your closet and diffuse whatever smell you like. Some good options are chai, peppermint, or clove because of their strong scent.

Kitchen

The refrigerator can hold many smells that are not so appealing. If you have a funky dairy smell, put half a lemon in the middle shelf and you’re good to go. For a smelly sink or just something in the air, you can’t totally identify, leave a bowl of baking soda on the counter overnight to absorb the smells with no mess.
